Welcome to the website of the Department of Economic and Social Analyses (“La Sapienza” University of Rome , Political Science Faculty)

The Department stems from the reorganisation of the previous Department of Economic Theory and Quantitative Methods for Political Choices and Department of Economics, both founded in 1982 after the university reform (law 382/1980).

The Department includes about 50 academics (professors and researchers) who specialise in two broad areas of research: economic analysis and quantitative methods for the economy. The Department is located on the first floor of the Political Science building. It has its own library and computer room for graduate and doctorate students at the Department.
