Welcome to the new website of the Department of Economic Theory and Quantitative Methods for Political Choices. The website content and graphics have been completely upgraded. The Department of Economic Theory and Quantitative Methods for Political Choices (“La Sapienza” University of Rome , Political Science Faculty) stems from the reorganisation of the previous Institute of Economic, Financial and Statistical Studies. The Institute boasted a long, prestigious tradition of economic and statistical research. The Department was founded in 1982 with Italian university reform (law 382/1980). Today, the Department has over 30 academics (professors and researchers) who specialise in two broad areas of research: economic analysis and quantitative methods for the economy. The Department is located on the first floor of the Political Science building. It has its own library and computer room for graduate and doctorate students at the Department.
